Things To Do in London This Weekend

By emocto @emoctoofficial · On 26th July 2018

Stuck for things to do in London this weekend? Here’s the roundup:

Ealing Jazz Festival, Walpole Park 28th July

A rousing assembly of talent from every nook and cranny of jazz’s assorted topographies. It’s a comforting mix of established, award-laden acts as well as emerging young stars scorching their way onto the scene. One of the biggest jazz festivals with prices starting at £5.00, is it really something any jazz fan can afford to miss?

Prudential Ride London 29th July

As part of Ride and the largest cycling festival in the UK, this particular cycle is from London to Surrey. All for a good cause, naturally for Parents Against Child Sexual Exploitation. City to county was never going to be easy but for £50 anyone can have a stab. Professional or amateur, young or old, it doesn’t really matter as long as you’re wheeled.

600 Seconds: Conflict! Upstairs at the Sydenham Centre 28th July

For a tenner a ticket the idea of nine plays is phenomenal. For what is essentially a pound a play you really are getting your money’s worth. The emerging talent of south London’s dramatic fringes will be put on show then the power is in your hands to vote for your favourite. The best one gets a bottle of champers. Some good clean fun.

Circus Sampler at Somerset House 28th-29th July

Slap bang right in the centre of Westminster. A sliver of the greatest show on earth and all for the fantastic price of nada. This is something you won’t want to miss if you’re cruising around the capital at all this weekend. Acrobats, jugglers, musicians and performers of every ilk will be flinging themselves around in a great Technicolor cyclone of sonic and shine.

Uniqlo Tate Lates, The Tate Modern 27th July

Friday night sponsored by the elegant and practical Japanese fashion house. Throw in the iconic home of contemporary art in the UK and you have yourself a night out. Mingle with artists, DJs, photographers and teachers and basically anyone with a shared interest in the arts. A real trendy collaboration I think we can all agree.
